Surgery Hours

We are open for the collection of flea and worm products and the collection of medicines 8.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 12noon on Saturday.

Our surgeries are “open”. You do not need an appointment for surgery hours:

Monday to Friday

  • 9am - 10.30am
  • 2pm - 3pm
  • 5pm - 6.30pm

  • 9am - 12noon

If you have a cat that is difficult to catch and you suddenly manage to catch him/her and it is surgery hours you can come straight to the surgery and we will see your cat. If you are stuck in traffic on the way to us it will not affect us seeing other people. We can see someone else and then see you when you arrive.

Not taking 30 phone calls a day to make appointments also reduces the staff we need to employ to take telephone calls, which means helping to keep your vet bills down.

We have had open surgeries at a previous practice in Bristol and they worked well. Clients often waited less than if we had had appointments! The busiest days are likely to be Monday and Friday and the busiest times at the end of surgery. So if you have a choice it can be best to come midweek and at the beginning or middle time of the surgery.

Staff Advice

During our general opening hours listed above as well as collecting medicines you can call in or telephone for advice from our trained staff/Registered Veterinary Nurse.

During Surgery Hours

If you are bringing an emergency to us during the day please telephone us first to let us know you are on the way and what the problem has been with your pet.

Out of Hours

No vet can work 24 hours a day, for many days in a row without it affecting patient treatments, so we are very grateful to have the very good CVets providing you and us with out of hours assistance.

From 6.30pm during the week and 12.30pm Saturday they have fresh new staff coming on duty and they have excellent facilities. They are located at:

The Old Dairy,

on the A390 going into Truro.
